Industrial Maintenance Technician – Automation & PLCs

$30.00 – $38.00/hr + Shift Differentials

  • Experience Depth: 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on industrial machinery maintenance and automated systems troubleshooting
  • PLC & Automation

    Skills:

    Working knowledge and diagnostic familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs and robotics
  • Technical Fluency:
    Complete ability to read, interpret, and trace mechanical drawings and high-level electrical schematics
  • Compensation: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour baseline + competitive shift differentials (Based on electro-mechanical depth)

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday – Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Monday – Friday
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Monday – Friday (+ rotating weekend on-call)

    Full-Time, Permanent, W-2 direct hire position with a full benefits package

    Greater Milwaukee area (Must reside within a dependable 45-minute commute of the facility)

What You Will Be Doing
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing high-capacity industrial automation machinery, processing lines, and integrated robotics
  • Interfacing with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs to trace faults, diagnose inputs/outputs, and resolve critical equipment errors rapidly
  • Reading and interpreting complex mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics to safely execute breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining, rebuilding, and optimizing heavy-duty pneumatic valves, cylinders, and fluid power systems
  • Working confidently on industrial AC/DC electrical systems, motors, drives, and power distribution components
  • Executing structural and programmatic welding as needed to support general machinery modification, fabrications, and repair activities
What We Are Looking For
  • Industrial Maintenance Track Record:
    Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience maintaining high-speed production or heavy industrial machinery. Strong, independent diagnostic capability is the baseline requirement.
  • Automation Familiarity:
    Clear exposure to working around automated systems, including basic navigation or fault-tracing within Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC environments.
  • Schematic Literacy:
    Solid proficiency in tracing electrical blueprints and reading technical mechanical drawings.
  • Mechanical Fundamentals:
    Hands-on competence with pneumatic machinery, fluid power loops, and light structural welding.
  • Professional Reliability: A rock-solid, stable, and dependable work history that demonstrates commitment to past teams.
  • Commute Constraints:
    Permanent residency located within a comfortable 45-minute driving radius of the Greater Milwaukee, WI area.
