Position: Maintenance Tech 1

Modern Maintenance was founded in 1982. Modern Maintenance Building Services provides janitorial services to many of the Milwaukee area’s most prestigious buildings. With headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin and a branch office in Madison, Modern Maintenance has over 500 employees who provide a wide array of clients.

Modern Maintenance services multi-tenant buildings, commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and educational facilities just to name a few of our clientele. With over 40 years of cleaning experience, we have established ourselves as a dynamic regional contractor.

Job Skills / Requirements

Seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for a building in the Downtown area of Milwaukee hours and days may vary. to Enhance the property value and user satisfaction by providing mechanical services at the property. The maintenance technician has a good understanding of mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance.

  • Operate and maintain the property s mechanical systems in a manner which protects, maintains, and improves the value of the owner s asset.
  • Assist the Director of Maintenance to implement and monitor hazard control, team safety practices, and ensure compliance with local codes and regulation to ensure the passing of the compliance portion of the operations audit.
  • Provide preventive, ongoing and anticipated maintenance at the entire property.
  • Maintain an equipment inventory control for the property.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks independently.
  • Being pro-active with the buildings and creating/maintaining an ongoing task list of potential work for the property management group.
  • Maintaining great communication with the support staff and property managers.
  • Being the main point of contact for vendors on assigned properties.
  • Assist with fire safety equipment inspections.
  • Follow all company Safety standards and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
