PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

The Event Facilities Staff provides on-site facilities support during events to help maintain a safe, functional, and comfortable venue environment. This position performs assigned preventative maintenance, inspections, work orders, and minor repairs prior to events and responds to facilities-related issues as they arrive during shows. The role serves as the primary on-site facilities resource during assigned events and escalates issues when additional support is required.

MAJOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as the on-site Facilities contact during assigned shows and events, responding to building-related issues as they arise.

Performs assigned preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, work orders, and minor repairs prior to and during events as time allows.

Monitors and adjusts building temperatures and related HVAC equipment during shows and events.

Responds to minor plumbing issues, including restroom and fixture problems.

Performs minor theater seat repairs and adjustments.

Troubleshoots and addresses minor lighting, electrical, door, hardware, plumbing, and other building-related issues within the scope of the position.

Replaces light bulbs and performs other routine building maintenance as needed.

Provides facilities-related assistance to House Management and other event staff during shows and events.

Identifies safety, cleanliness, or functionality concerns and addresses or reports them as appropriate.

Assists with minor snow and ice removal as needed to maintain safe building access.

Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

High School diploma or GED.
2 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, operations, or event support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the areas of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry.

Experience in venues, theaters, hospitality, or customer-facing operations preferred.

Hands-on experience with basic repairs, contractor support, and maintenance systems.

OSHA 10 certification.

CPR/First Aid certification.

GENERAL SKILLS/

QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with basic building systems and repair tools.

Comfort using or learning maintenance software (e.g., Upkeep).Attention to detail and follow-through on routine tasks.

Ability to be flexible and make quick decisions, inform others of decisions, and provide rationale for decisions.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.

Ability to resolve complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Proficiency with computers and Gmail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Able to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color determination, and adjustment of focus.

Able to use hands to grasp, reach and operate objects, tools, or controls.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.

Regularly required to bend, twist, climb, kneel and balance.

Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
