The Buildings & Grounds Department for Bloomington Public Schools pulls from this posting multiple times throughout the year to hire base custodians. Hires happen on an as-needed basis. The posting expires at the end of each school year and re-opens in time for the next school year. Please submit your application. As positions open, you will be contacted for an interview.

Position:

Base Custodian (On-going/As-Needed)

Pay:

Hours:

8 hours per day

5 days per week

261 days - 12 months

Requirements:

* Clean and maintain areas of a school building such as sweeping, emptying waste baskets, mopping, vacuuming, minor repairs, setting up for events and take downs

* Prompt, regular and reliable attendance

* Able to lift 60 lbs

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

* Mechanical ability

* Demonstrate written and verbal skills

* Other duties as assigned
