PositionSummary
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Louis in Minneapolis, MN! The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all aspects of the physical operations of our apartment community that includes the responsibility to ensure that Aeon standards are met in each of the following areas: preventative maintenance, safety and security, physical condition, market appeal, customer service promises, and utility conservation standards.
This position will also support the general upkeep of the property including regular trash removal and trash chute management. The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Property Manager.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by performing a wide variety of general maintenance and repair functions including:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Appliance repair
- Air handler and general HVAC maintenance
- Lock changes
- Apartment turnovers
- Preventative maintenance
- Installation and repair of window coverings, doors, cabinets, light fixtures, etc;
- Regular trash chute maintenance and management
- Regular Inside/outside debris removal
- Seasonal duties: light snow removal, salting/sanding
- Must have knowledge and experience in general maintenance.
- Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations.

- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance is required.
- Own basic tools.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to conduct property tours and inspections including but not limited to walking through hallways, stairwells, leasing offices, common areas, and vacant or occupied apartment homes. This may involve navigating multiple floors and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to reach above and below shoulder height.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull.
- Ability to work in varying external weather conditions.
- Ability to quickly respond to sights and sounds that may pose a threat to persons or property.
Candidate must currently have and/or be able to obtain the following certifications within the first six months of employment with Aeon. Aeon will support the Maintenance Technician with obtaining these certifications through training classes and/or by paying licensing/certification fees where applicable:
- Special Boiler's License
This position has a range of pay between $25-$27/hr depending on experience and skillset. This full-time position follows a Monday – Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the role, including occasional adjustments for resident events, community activities, meetings, or other property-related responsibilities. This is an in-person role based at the assigned property, with occasional work at Aeon's Central Office, training facilities, or other properties as needed.
