Shipping Clerk

Design Ready Controls is a leader in control panel building and searching for our next key player to join our team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be an integral part of our success and growth. This role is responsible for the outbound shipping of our production units.

This is a 2nd shift position.

Key Responsibilities

• Shipping of production outbound
• Prepare shipping BOL, documents, labels and customs paperwork for international delivery
• Prepare product for shipping via national and global means, including crating, shrink-wrapping, and banding
• Operate crane, pallet jack, and forklift to load panels for shipping
• Assist in training measures as needed
• Maintain a safe, organized, clean and efficient work area
• Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
• Identify and assist in process improvement measures
• Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization

Education | Experience

• High school education or equivalent (required)
• Prior warehouse receiving experience (required), industrial setting (preferred)
• Ability to use strapping/banding equipment
• ERP experience (preferred)
• Leadership experience (preferred)
• Forklift driving experience required (certification process provided)

Abilities | Skills

• Good math, computer (Microsoft Office) and communication skills
• High motivation level, ability to multi-task and work well independently as well as with others
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Lifting up to 50-85 pounds occasionally (with assistance)
• Ability to read and follow company shipping documents
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours per day
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range of $18.00-$20.00

Design Ready Controls is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.

Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour
