POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary function is to provide maintenance and cleaning services on a daily basis to ensure a safe, clean and well-cared-for environment for staff and guests of the building.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Strategy and Thought Leadership
- Assist with special events and other agency-wide activities or agency program promotions as needed
- Ensure that state and municipal fire, health safety codes are adhered to so as to provide a safe environment for staff, participants and others- suggesting new ideas & improvements as needed
- Participate actively in building the culture of Pillsbury House + Theatre & Pillsbury Community Commons (PH+T/PCC) so that it honors the dignity of people, supports Pillsbury United Communities (PUC) values, helps spread creativity and increase access, attachment and agency for all
Operations and Outcomes
- Ensure that PCC campus buildings are clean and sanitized on a daily basis, prioritizing Pillsbury United Communities (PEEC) and EPIC per licensing requirements
- Pick up trash in and around the buildings and empty trash/recycling as needed
- Landscaping and snow removal supplemental to contracts as needed
- Perform minor building and grounds maintenance, repair and upkeep /li>
- Attend and contribute to all scheduled staff meetings and contribute solutions to operations
People and Community Development
- Nurture internal & external relationships
- Provide support services to staff, such as filling in at the front desk in a pinch, assistance in moving offices and preparing offices for new tenants
- With PUC/PCC leadership, PH+T Operations Coordinator and Facilities Manager, help coordinate contractors and repair people, directing them to necessary equipment/spaces
- Maintain records of: service/maintenance contracts and contacts, service/repair visits, work performed, repairs/maintenance needed, inspection reports, etc…
- Maintain the PH+T/PCC work order system, respond to requests from staff/partners, communicate actions taken and timeline for completion, enter all information in Limble
- Use resources wisely
- Order and stock building supplies
- Record time/expenses accurately
- Prioritize maintenance/repairs to manage spending
Required Skills/Experience
- Experience in performing light maintenance
- Ability to support and interact with a diverse community and meet everyone where they are with cultural responsiveness and respect
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Knowledge of equipment and small machines, such as snow blower
- Knowledge of cleaning solutions and use
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize activities
