Halverson and Blaiser Group is looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician who has experience in district energy.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Community Manager to maintain and enhance the value of the assigned portfolio by delivering an effective and efficient customer service response program for residents’ maintenance needs; providing ongoing general maintenance repairs and implementing a preventive maintenance program to safeguard the asset’s physical structure and fixtures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry systems.
  • Prepare units for new residents (cleaning, painting, repairs).
  • Keep common areas, grounds, and work spaces clean and safe.
  • Rotate on‑call duties for after‑hours emergencies.
What You Bring
  • 5 years or more experience in building maintenance.
  • District energy experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Chief or 1st class boiler’s license.
  • Valid MN Class C Driver’s License + insurance.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
  • Hands‑on, active work—indoors and outdoors.
  • Lifting, climbing, and physical mobility required.
  • Downtown St. Paul multiple mixed‑use sites.
