• 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two‑week pay period)
• 8‑hour Day/Evening/Night shifts
• On‑call weekend rotation

Maintains, repairs and operates heavy gasoline and diesel powered equipment, assists with landscaping and maintains the grounds, sidewalks, driveways and parking lots.

• Provides Timely and Professional grounds care.
  • Maintains all entrances of the facility.
  • Fertilizes and cuts grass and trims trees and shrubs.
  • Provides preventative maintenance.
  • Schedules and facilitates work order/preventative maintenance completion with hospital staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Reports hazards and/or potential work hazards in our facilities to prevent injury to self, peers, patients and visitors.
  • Picks up all debris, paper cans, etc. around the entire building and grounds.
  • Works with grounds vendors to ensure property is set up for each season.
  • May assist with sweeping and sidewalk upkeep.
  • May maintain and repair underground irrigation system.
  • May maintain parking lots and drives.
  • May help with equipment breakdowns.
  • May do basic math problems.
  • May order supplies and equipment.
  • May provide direction and assign work to the Groundskeeper Associate.
• Provides maintenance and repair of parking lots.
  • Keeps parking lots, sidewalks and driveways free of snow and ice during winter months.
  • Services and repairs all grounds equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
• 2+ years of general maintenance and grounds keeping
• 0 to 2 years of basic computer skills

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid Driver's License required upon hire – MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment
• Department of Transportation Certified upon hire required

• Medium Work:
  Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range: $22.42 to $29.29 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
