Braham Area Schools is seeking a dependable and motivated Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning, sanitizing, and general upkeep of school facilities and grounds, while supporting the district's commitment to providing high-quality learning environments.

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Restock custodial and restroom supplies
• Assist with room setups for school and community events
• Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks as assigned
• Operate custodial equipment and use cleaning products safely and effectively
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards to appropriate personnel
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure school environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or building maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors throughout the year
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning procedures, and safety practices preferred

Salary is based on the Custodial Agreement and Experience

Hourly $17.30-$23.33
