SummaryMaintenance Technicians are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of RS EDEN facilities, including repairs, building upkeep, maintenance supplies purchasing, program equipment maintenance, and additional duties as assigned. The Maintenance Technician receives work direction from the Program Director. Primary responsibilities are to assist in the maintenance and repair of RS EDEN properties and equipment. The Maintenance Technician should advise supervisor of needs and potential problems.
The Maintenance Technician must be prepared to work a flexible schedule and be available in case of emergency situations. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple taskings are a must.
Pay rate ranges from $25-28 per hour.
Hiring Bonus$1,500 for Full-time
$1,000 for Part-time
RESPONSIBILITES- Assist Director in maintaining RS EDEN property.
- Completes repairs as needed and respond to directions of supervisor.
- Entering and completing in detailed description of repairs in web-based work order tracking called App Folio.
- Maintains Physical Properties. This may include painting, carpentry, and large repairs to building and equipment.
- Maintains equipment and tools. Responsible for cleanliness and condition of all agency assigned tools and equipment.
- Purchases building and maintenance supplies under the direction of the Director.
- Maintains heating systems in all facilities as needed.
- Conducts work in a safe manner in accordance with electrical, fire, and building codes and standards.
- Maintains all yards, walkways, and entry areas of the facilities in clean and safe condition as directed by the Director.
- Obtains bids for projects and repairs as requested.
- Advise Director and, when necessary, other staff of program needs, safety issues, and other potential physical problems.
- Assists Program Directors in developing maintenance priorities.
- Remains aware of personal safety requirements associated with each task. Wears personal safety eyewear and utilizes other protective items as required for the task and tools utilized.
- Accounts for time and projects to Director when requested.
- Completes weekly and monthly tasks for each facility as outlined on facility maintenance form; turns in written report monthly.
- Maintains favorable driving record (favorable is left to the interpretation of the employer and any agent acting on behalf of the employer).
- Promotes and instills positive attitude and image in coworkers.
- Participates in staff meetings, in-service training, outside training events, and additional training as deemed necessary to maintain personal growth and development, as well as professional competence, as required or directed.
- Maintains and promotes a positive, safe, harmonious, productive and challenging work environment.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Experience in all aspects of building maintenance, skills in tool use, tool maintenance, and job safety, proficiency in repairing small and large appliances.
- Ability to structure time well and develop priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image.
- Ability to relate to customers as well as people from diverse backgrounds with multiple problems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Must be able to favorably pass applicable criminal history/background checks.
- Two years off correctional supervision.
- One year free of any problems associated with chemical dependency, if applicable.
- Positive driving record (periodic review of driving record required).
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Current Mantoux test. (Annual requirement thereafter)
- Experience in App Folio, preferred.
