Position Summary
As a Painter, you are responsible for painting interior and exterior areas of the community. This role will be responsible for consistently delivering high quality made ready homes for move‑in. A successful Painter is able to manage their time effectively, is detail‑oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Paint the interior of homes and the exterior of buildings, using the correct products and maintaining time efficiency as directed by management.
- Perform detailed work with carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting.
- Respond to all service requests related to cosmetic painting repairs for occupied units in a timely manner.
- Participate in property improvements and preventive maintenance scheduled tasks promptly.
- Determine when full paint or touch‑up paint is needed, and identify the correct paint sheen and color.
- Perform daily grounds maintenance of the property, including picking up and disposing of all trash, pet waste removal, maintaining pet waste stations, sweeping walkways, and snow removal where applicable.
- Assist the team with distributing resident correspondence and notices while maintaining privacy of confidential and sensitive information.
- Accompany vendors to vacant and/or occupied units as needed.
- Monitor painting supplies and maintain equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times.
- Utilize Weidner issued cell phone and specified apps as part of your daily responsibilities.
- 1‑2 years of painting and drywall experience required.
- Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds (36.3 kg) and climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs.
- Able to use an appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds (90.7 kg).
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to stand on feet constantly for the entire work shift, if applicable.
- Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis.
- Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text.
- Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Yardi, Happy Co, and Paycom experience preferred; willing and able to learn new software programs.

- Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code/uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times.
- Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently.
- Willing and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as needed.
- Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized.
- Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing.
- Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation at all times.
- Driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times and match the country in which the associate will work.
