Position Overview

The primary function is to provide maintenance and cleaning services on a daily basis to ensure a safe, clean and well cared for environment for staff and guests of the building.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Strategy and Thought Leadership
  • Assist with special events and other agency-wide activities or agency program promotions as needed
  • Ensure that state and municipal fire, health safety codes are adhered to so as to provide a safe environment for staff, consumers and others- suggesting new ideas & improvements as needed
Operations and Outcomes
  • Ensure that building is clean and sanitized on a daily basis
  • Pick up trash in and around the building and empty trash/recycling as needed
  • Landscaping and snow removal as needed.
  • Perform minor building and grounds maintenance, repair and upkeep
  • Attend and contribute to all scheduled staff meetings and contribute solutions to operations
People and Community Development
  • Nurture internal & external relationships
  • Provide support services to staff, such as assistance in moving offices and preparing offices for new tenants.
  • With Facilities and Asset Manager, help coordinate contractors and repairmen, directing them to necessary equipment/spaces.
  • Use resources wisely
  • Record time/expenses accurately
Required Skills/Experience
  • Experience in performing light maintenance preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge of equipment and small machines, such as snow blower
  • Knowledge of cleaning solutions and use
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize activities.
