Building Operations Technician Training Program
Hennepin County is excited to share information about our free Building Operations Technician (BOT) Training Program beginning September 2026! This program was developed in partnership with Project for Pride in Living (PPL) and Minneapolis College to train for building operations, maintenance, and facilities engineer jobs in our Facility Services Department. This department is responsible for comprehensive management of the county's properties and facilities.
This program is for you because you: have a high school diploma or GED, have a driver's license, have at least six-months of basic maintenance, construction, or custodial experience, able to attend evening classes, meet additional requirements set by PPL. This program is intended for external candidates who are not currently or have not been employed as a regular, permanent employee with Hennepin County.
