Floor Care Aide

As a Floor Care Aide at Allina Health, you play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. From maintaining hard floors and carpets to cleaning walls and ceilings, your attention to detail helps support health and comfort throughout the facility.

.4 FTE (32 hours per two‑week pay period), 8‑hour day shifts, every other weekend.

• Cleans and maintains hard floors throughout the health care facility.
• Removes or strips old finish from floors, edges and baseboards.
• Mixes chemicals to remove finish.
• Operates hard floor cleaning machines.
• Applies new seal and finish.
• Cleans and maintains carpet and upholstery throughout the health care facility.
• Shampoos upholstered and carpet surfaces to remove soil and stain.
• Determines correct equipment and chemical for task.
• Maintains all equipment and reports if any equipment is needing repair.
• Cleans walls and ceilings throughout the facility.
• May clean windows and light fixtures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age and possess the education and/or experience needed to meet the required functional competencies as listed on the job description.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a health care environment.
• 0 to 2 years of floor care maintenance experience.
• 0 to 2 years of experience using floor stripper/finish and carpet extraction solutions.

• Medium work:
  Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Base hourly pay range: $21.93 to $28.69 per hour. The starting rate depends on experience, education, union agreement, shift differentials, and other factors.
