Salary Range: $25.00 To $28.00 Hourly

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of Sanneh buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. This position requires a broad range of maintenance skills, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and excellent customer service when interacting with staff, visitors, and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, drywall, and basic electrical work.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
  • Install, repair, and replace doors, locks, windows, flooring, ceiling tiles, and other building components.
  • Repair plumbing fixtures, unclog drains, and address minor water leaks.
  • Perform basic electrical repairs, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and bulbs (within licensing requirements).
  • Assemble and install furniture, shelving, equipment, and office fixtures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the building, including pressure washing and minor landscaping as needed.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for repairs requiring specialized services.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Keep accurate records of completed work, inspections, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable safety standards.
  • Assist with room setups and breakdowns for meetings, events, and programs.
  • Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, salting walkways, and lawn maintenance when applicable.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, offices, hallways, and other facility spaces on a regular schedule.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors; clean carpets and hard surfaces as needed.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the building and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Restock janitorial supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizer in restrooms and common areas.
  • Clean interior and exterior windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces including furniture, fixtures, vents, and baseboards.
  • Respond to spills, accidents, and other cleaning emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain janitorial supply inventory and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
  • Operate and maintain janitorial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two or more years of general maintenance or handyman experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HVAC maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems.
  • OSHA safety training or maintenance certifications.
  • Experience in nonprofit, school, community center, or commercial facility maintenance.
