Company Description Ty's Wedding Rental and Services is a Wedding rental small family owned based in Stillwater, Minnesota, serving clients throughout the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul area. The company provides tents and related event equipment to support weddings and special occasions. Team members help create reliable, well-organized wedding setups on private properties. The work environment is hands-on and service-focused. The wedding day is also filled with duties such as setting up chairs, cleaning restroom trailers, trash clean up, setting up additional equipment, and shutting down the show at 1:30am.
Role Description This seasonal full time, on-site role is based in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul area and focuses on the delivery, setup, and takedown of event tents and related equipment. The Mobile Event Tent Setup Crew and Driver loads and unloads rental items, drives company vehicles to event locations, and assembles tents, tables, chairs, and other equipment according to safety and layout requirements.
The role includes inspecting equipment for cleanliness and functionality, securing items for transport, and following schedules to ensure timely setup and removal. Team members interact with clients and venue staff on-site, respond to basic questions, and support the crew lead to ensure events are properly prepared. This position may involve working evenings, weekends, and varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Customer-facing skills, including strong Customer Service and Communication abilities to interact professionally with clients and venue staff.
- Event-focused skills, such as basic Event Planning awareness and Event Marketing understanding to support organized and successful setups.
- Over 21 years old in order to be on our commercial insurance policy
- Sales-related aptitude, including comfort discussing services or add-on rentals when appropriate, while maintaining a helpful, non-pressuring approach.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow route schedules.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment, working on ladders, and setting up tents in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following setup instructions, safety procedures, and time-sensitive event timelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a crew environment and adapt to changing event needs or last-minute adjustments.
- Previous experience in events, logistics, rentals, or related fields is beneficial but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
