What We are Looking For:

Bender Companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Apartment
Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations at one of our apartment communities in Minneapolis
. This is a key leadership position, ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in property maintenance, proven team leadership, and the ability to balance daily operational needs with long-term maintenance planning. You should be organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of motivating a team to deliver high-quality results that support resident satisfaction and asset performance.

Job Type :
Full-time

Pay : $32-$34 per hour

Schedule :

  • 8AM to 4:30 PM(however hours may vary)

  • Monday to Friday

  • On call

  • Weekends as needed

Here are some things that will make you successful:
  • Reliable transportation to get to work

  • 2–3 years of experience in residential maintenance, including team leadership or supervisory experience

  • A passion and abilityto lead and develop team members

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members

  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasksacross a dynamic property environment

  • Working knowledge ofHVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry,and general maintenance practices

  • Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, App Folio) is a plus

  • EPA certification, HVAC license, or other relevant credentials are aplus

  • Ability tolift upto 50 pounds

What you will be doing:

As the Maintenance Supervisor , you will oversee all aspects of property maintenance operations.

You’llmanage service requests, unit turnovers, preventative maintenance, vendor relationships, and the daily workflow of the maintenance team. This role requires both strong leadership and a hands-on approach to ensure the property ismaintainedto the highest standards,and all resident concerns are addressed quickly and professionally.

You will work closely with the Property Manager to meet operational goals, improve maintenance processes, andmaintaincompliance with safety and building regulations.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Create and implement a daily plan of action to maximize maintenance team productivity and prioritize tasks efficiently

  • Coordinate unit turns with vendors and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality apartment readiness

  • Oversee and ensuretimelycompletion of all service requests, work orders, and assigned maintenance tasks

  • Perform routine property inspections toidentifyand address maintenance issues proactively

  • Assistin preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipment

  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies

  • Order and manage maintenance supplies to ensure availability of necessary materials and control inventory costs

  • Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities, supplies, and vendor work to support operational efficiency and compliance

  • Delivernotices and communications to residents as directed by management

  • Participate inanon-call schedule for after-hours maintenance emergencies

  • Performadditionalduties as assigned
