Sevita, a leader in home and community-based healthcare, is seeking a Maintenance Associate to support our Facilities & Maintenance department. In this role, you'll perform routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety checks to ensure our care environments are clean, safe, and fully operational. You'll troubleshoot basic building, equipment, and grounds issues, and partner with clinical and administrative teams. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building, equipment, and grounds maintenance for healthcare and residential facilities
  • Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs to maintain safe, functional spaces
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner, prioritizing safety and urgency
  • Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, systems, and building components
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to identify and report safety hazards, damage, or needed repairs
  • Support minor HVAC troubleshooting and coordinate with licensed vendors as needed
  • Maintain clean, orderly common areas, resident rooms, and exterior grounds
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines applicable to healthcare environments
  • Document work performed, materials used, and status updates in maintenance logs or work order systems
  • Collaborate with clinical and direct care staff to minimize disruption to services during repairs
  • Assist with emergency and on-call maintenance needs, including urgent repairs and weather-related preparation
  • Use hand and power tools safely and maintain tools and supplies in good working order
