Aeon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced maintenance professional to lead maintenance operations at East Village, 180 affordable and market rate apartment homes in the Elliot Park neighborhood of Downtown Minneapolis. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to develop and support an effective maintenance team while maintaining high standards for the physical condition, safety, functionality, and appearance of the property.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work alongside the maintenance team while providing day‑to‑day leadership and direction for maintenance operations. You'll diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues, coordinate preventative maintenance, manage apartment turnovers, prepare the property for inspections, coordinate vendors and contractors, monitor supplies and expenses, and ensure resident maintenance requests are addressed promptly and professionally.

You'll partner closely with the Property Manager and other Aeon team members to establish priorities, identify building needs, develop the maintenance team, and proactively address issues that could affect residents and property operations. This role is well suited for an experienced maintenance professional who takes ownership, enjoys solving complex problems, develops others, and takes pride in creating safe, well‑maintained homes for residents.

This position reports to the Property Manager.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the maintenance team as a working supervisor, completing daily work orders alongside staff while providing hands‑on technical guidance and support.
• Establish priorities, delegate work, and ensure maintenance requests, apartment turnovers, preventative maintenance, inspections, and other property needs are completed in a timely manner and to Aeon standards.
• Train, coach, and develop maintenance staff through hands‑on instruction, cross‑training, ongoing feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Build and sustain a strong, collaborative, resident‑focused team, including partnering with Talent Acquisition to interview and select new team members, supporting employee growth, and addressing performance concerns in partnership with the Property Manager and Human Resources.

• Ensure maintenance requests are completed in a timely, professional, and resident‑focused manner, working alongside the team to complete repairs and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of building systems and apartment components, including plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, locks and doors, drywall, flooring, painting, fixtures,…
