Summary
Responsible for leading and managing all maintenance functions across the facility, ensuring optimal equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency. Leverages strong technical expertise and hands-on experience to troubleshoot complex systems, implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Provides both strategic direction and day-to-day technical leadership to maintenance teams.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities- Develop and execute maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifecycle performance.
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for maintenance activities based on production priorities, equipment criticality, and team capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Monitor employee performance, coach team members, and ensure adherence to maintenance best practices and safety standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory, tooling, and maintenance resources to ensure readiness and minimize downtime.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions (RCCA) to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate maintenance activities across all shifts and collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Lead and support capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and process upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and deliver technical training to maintenance personnel to enhance skillsets and maintain a high-performing team.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding maintenance performance, key metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, KPIs, and reporting (downtime, MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Note:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience strongly considered.
- 5–10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, CNCs, electrical systems, PLCs, automation, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and reliability engineering principles.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication across all organizational levels, from technicians to executive leadership.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-demand production setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) preferred.
