Maintenance Coordinator

This position interfaces with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS to plan, prioritize, schedule, and coordinate area maintenance work to enhance the effective utilization of Operations and Maintenance resources. This position coordinates all phases of work planning and scheduling functions within the maintenance management system, assures availability of materials, and favorably affects overall maintenance costs in the plant.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintains and repairs maintenance shop and plant equipment if necessary.
  • Helps maintenance technicians with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
  • Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations or solving maintenance related problems.
  • Ensures spare parts are available for preventative maintenance and scheduled plant shutdowns, maintain and audit warehouse inventory.
  • Receive incoming parts and supplies and verify receipts to the purchase orders.
  • Have a good working knowledge of pump, valves, plant pneumatic and hydraulic systems etc.
  • Participate with Maintenance rotating on call duties.
Qualifications
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a working knowledge in planning, maintenance, and operations activities which is acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in ethanol, refinery, petrochemical, power/industrial plant applications, or in a related industry.
  • Computer skills with knowledge in the use of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and MAPCON or similar maintenance management software is required.
  • The ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills is also required.
  • Helps maintenance technicians with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
  • Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations or solving maintenance related problems.
