You'll oversee a maintenance team, coordinate and inspect work across a wide range of trades, and serve as a key operational partner to the Maintenance Manager; keeping our facilities safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to manage people, priorities, and projects in a fast-paced resort environment.
The scope of this role is broad and meaningful; your team's work directly supports the experience of every guest who walks through our doors and every owner who trusts us with their property.
For over 100 years, Cote Hospitality has crafted transformative guest experiences across world-class resorts and camps. We're invested in your growth here: this role comes with real opportunity to advance and expand your skills within our Facilities department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of the maintenance team; assigning work orders, managing job lists, and inspecting completed work to ensure quality and consistency.

- Perform and oversee skilled mechanical work across a broad range of trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pool systems, lighting, appliances, fire suppression, flooring, painting, and furniture repair.
- Support maintenance operations across both the Grand View Lodge resort and our portfolio of managed units; coordinating schedules, tracking work orders, and ensuring each property is maintained to the same high standard.
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) inspections across resort facilities and managed units on a regular schedule; document findings and follow up on outstanding items promptly.
- Serve as a responsive, professional point of contact for managed unit owners and resort department heads; communicating repair status, timelines, and recommendations with clarity and care.
- Hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and when necessary discipline or terminate maintenance team members; build a reliable, skilled team that takes pride in their work.
- Order and manage inventory of supplies, parts, and equipment; maintain accurate stock records and ensure the shop, vehicles, and tools are organized and operational.
- Generate written work orders, maintain detailed time sheets and records, and provide reports and assessments as required.
- Maintain a safe work environment; enforcing proper safety precautions for all tools, equipment, and machinery and ensuring the team follows established protocols at all times.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all resort departments to ensure seamless communication and rapid response to maintenance needs.
- This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons and for urgent maintenance situations is required.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, with preference for hospitality, resort, or multi-property experience.
- Working knowledge and hands-on ability across multiple trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pool systems, fire suppression, flooring, painting, appliances, and general building maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead, schedule, and develop a maintenance team in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Strong organizational skills; you can manage multiple open work orders, competing priorities, and both planned and reactive maintenance without losing track of anything.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable submitting detailed reports, work orders, and assessments in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Excel proficiency highly preferred for scheduling, tracking, and reporting. - Ability to read chemical labels and follow all applicable safety protocols.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for 6–7 hours, climb stairs, reach, bend, and lift 50+ lbs.
