Cleaning Services, House Cleaning
Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishings in assigned work area, following established policies and procedures, to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Reviews and prioritizes cleaning schedule for the day.
- Cleans assigned area daily according to policies and procedures.
- Mops, vacuums and burnish floors.
- Wash mirrors, windows and ledges.
- Wash walls, ceilings, doors, mopboards and light fixtures.
- Clean TV's, clocks, pictures, phones, vents, registers, all furniture.
- Clean beds, closets, over‑bed tables and bedside units.
- Remove soiled drapes, and hang clean drapes.
- Clean toilets, bedpans, sinks and tubs.
- Handles and transports garbage and linen (soiled and clean) to designated area according to policy and procedures.
- Knows, understands and follows the established cleaning procedures.
- Completes and documents assigned daily and annual housekeeping tasks.
- Recommends equipment maintenance when needed.
- Participates in and contributes to monthly department meetings.
- Demonstrates organizational values in daily work.
- Supports the policies and procedures of the organization and the standards of the Joint Commission as required for full accreditation.
One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb a ladder to clean surfaces at ceiling level or balance.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, 4’ 6” high. Occasionally pull and/or push heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
