Menahga Public Schools is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated individual to join our Facilities Team as a Part-Time Custodian. This position plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community.

The Part-Time Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning, sanitation, and general upkeep of school facilities. Duties include routine custodial work, event setup, minor maintenance, and assisting with building security. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining our schools and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.

• Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Restock restroom and custodial supplies
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces
• Set up and take down tables and chairs for school events
• Perform minor maintenance and report repair needs
• Assist with seasonal duties, including snow removal and grounds cleanup as needed
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and secure school environment
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including standing, bending, climbing, and walking for extended periods
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
