Maintenance Technician

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Maintenance Technician to support safe, functional facilities across our healthcare and social service programs. In this on-site role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building issues, and respond to work orders and emergencies. You'll conduct safety checks, support room setups and minor renovations, and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds across LSS facilities
• Respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, and complete timely repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building needs
• Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and ensure facilities meet regulatory and organizational standards
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects as needed
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory of tools and supplies, and accurate records of completed work
• Support staff and programs by setting up rooms, moving furniture, and assisting with minor renovations
• Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent maintenance and building emergencies
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols in healthcare and residential environments
