Maintenance Technician

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Tech to support safe, well-maintained environments for our housing and service programs. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and resident units, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds care. You will respond to work orders and emergencies, support safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with program staff to create welcoming, trauma-informed spaces for individuals and families we serve.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on building systems, equipment, and resident units
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building issues
• Complete work orders in a timely, professional, and safe manner
• Conduct safety checks and support compliance with health and building codes
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and mechanical rooms in clean, orderly condition
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and on-call requests
• Document maintenance activities and communicate status to supervisors and program staff
