The Maintenance position at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the store's facilities are kept in pristine condition, contributing to an overall positive shopping experience.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, and public areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a responsible manner.
• Dust shelves and displays to maintain a tidy and organized appearance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of entrances and windows, ensuring they are free of smudges and debris.
• Restock supplies such as paper products and soap in restrooms and other public areas.
• Follow established safety and cleaning protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly to management.
• Operate cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and complete them within designated time frames.
• Work independently or as part of a team to achieve cleanliness and maintenance goals.
• Demonstrate reliability and consistency in performing cleaning duties to meet the company's standards.
• Also fills water softener salt upstairs, checks fire extinguishers throughout the facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal education required. On-the-job training is provided.

• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning roles preferred.

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe use of chemicals.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.
