Housekeeping​/Laundry Aide: Casual; PRN

JOB SUMMARY:

To maintain the facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by performing a variety of cleaning, disposal, and resupplying duties and to maintain clean linens, resident clothing and other fabrics by collecting dirty laundry and delivering clean laundry to the proper place and in the proper manner.

Casual (PRN)

To remain in this status, you must work the minimum hours below for the department you are in. Casual employees are not eligible for benefits or PTO/EIB. JMHS will consider it a voluntary resignation if an employee does not work the minimum hours. The only exception would be low census or granted leave of absence. It is the responsibility of the casual employee to maintain any required certifications.

Care Centeremployeesmust work a minimum of 48 hours in a rolling 6-month period which includes one weekend shift a month, based on schedule needs. It is the responsibility of the casual employee to inquire about open shifts.

Casual shifts are not guaranteed and must be mutually agreed upon, depending on both the employee's availability and the employer's need.

• Cleaning all areas of the facility and maintaining a high standard of appearance, sanitation, and safety throughout all areas of the facility.
• Sanitation responsibilities include activities like mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, polishing, etc. as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of resident/patient rooms and furniture.
• Maintaining the sanitation, cleanliness, and appearance of public areas such as hallways, restrooms, waiting rooms, meeting rooms and staff areas.
• Using cleaning chemicals according to the manufacturers’ directions for use, labeling, storage, and cleanup.
• Restocking supplies including but not limited to hand soap in dispensers, towels in dispensers, toilet paper, etc.
• Practicing good work safety procedures by wearing personal protective equipment/PPE, such as gloves, masks, splash shields, and/or gowns as directed and pertinent to OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
