This position performs a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of the city's parks, grounds, and trail system; operates a wide range of motorized and non-motorized equipment and tools; performs inspection and maintenance on tools and equipment that is assigned; assures the safety of amenities placed in the parks, trails, marina and beaches; assists other work divisions when assigned or requested;
performs a variety of snow removal and ice control tasks; may supervise seasonal employees; assists with the construction and maintenance of seasonal ice rinks.
- High school graduate/GED equivalent.
- 1 year experience operating and maintaining park and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Possess a valid class A commercial driver's license within 12 months of hire date.
- Enrolled in FMCSA CDL Clearinghouse at the time of interview.
- Available to be on call for weekend and holiday work.
- Must be able to respond to the public works facility within 45 minutes.
