Maintenance Technician
At Growing Kids Learning Centers, we're looking for a dependable, proactive Maintenance Technician who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming environments for children, families, and staff.
The ideal candidate is someone who notices problems before they become emergencies, enjoys solving challenges, works well independently, and understands that every repair contributes to the safety and success of our schools.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine facility inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues across multiple childcare locations
- Complete minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
- Install and repair shelving, fixtures, furniture, equipment, and classroom items
- Maintain grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor spaces
- Use power tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with facility improvement projects and renovations
- Communicate maintenance needs, project updates, and repair timelines with center leadership

Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field preferred
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge required
- Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Experience using power tools and maintenance equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass all required background screenings and childcare licensing requirements
Schedule
This position is primarily scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
While most work occurs during regular business hours, occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required to address facility emergencies or complete projects that cannot be performed while children are present.
