Full Time Multi-Shift Maintenance Technician

Want to put your maintenance skills and mechanical aptitude to work? The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration are seeking a Full Time Days & Evenings Maintenance Technician to serve at our convent, home to about 60 sisters.

• Ability and stamina to navigate and walk multi-story buildings that cover a significant amount of square footage and many acres on the property.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Effective problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Perform preventive, corrective, and condition‑based maintenance.
• Respond to maintenance work orders, troubleshoot equipment failures, and complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Test, adjust, calibrate, and verify equipment performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
• Follow all safety protocols, including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of PPE.
• Collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance leadership, and cross‑functional teams.

• Building rounds, including verifications, documentation of temperatures and pressures, visual inspections, and adjustments.
• Preventive maintenance activities.
• Turning on/off heating and cooling systems.
• Property rounds – access control and visual inspections.
• Activities in the Maintenance Shop and Boiler House.
• Trash and laundry rounds.
• Snow removal in some areas during winter.
• Other activities as assigned.

The hours are 7 am–3:30 pm six days and 3 pm–11:30 pm four days every two weeks, including every other weekend. Some holidays are required.
