* JOB PURPOSE:
** The purpose of this position is to manage the maintenance and repair of civil and arrangement systems across multiple sites.
The role involves troubleshooting and repairing various components, performing maintenance activities, and ensuring the safetyand functionality of infrastructure from installation to end-of-life. The technician will support all activities in the Depot Workshops (Abasia, Imbaba, and Salam) and stations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
This role requires independent work, responsibility, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
** RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
**** Maintenance Activities*
* • Conduct regular inspections of railway structures, such as bridges, tunnels, and buildings, including floors, walls,ceilings, doors, and other arrangement works.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on civil and arrangement assets, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment used for maintenance in optimal working condition.
• Replace worn-out or damaged parts during routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Provide close supervision and leadership to service providers, ensuring compliance with the Preventive Maintenance(PM) plan.
** Troubleshooting and Repair*
* • Execute repairs on damaged assets (tiles, walls, doors, drainage systems) using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to perform emergency repairs.
• Perform corrective maintenance to identify, track, and resolve malfunctions.
• Assist in rehabilitating existing railway assets to extend service life and enhance safety.
• Carry out installations, inspections, tests, and other maintenance tasks as required.
** Collaboration and Coordination*
* • Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, and technicians to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
• Work with maintenance teams to complete projects efficiently.
• Supervise contractors and external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
** Documentation and Reporting*
* • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repair works.
• Keep daily logs of maintenance activities.
• Assist in preparing detailed reports on the condition of infrastructure, offering recommendations for future
** maintenance or upgrades.
**** Field Survey and Assessments*
* • Assist in conducting field surveys and assessments for engineering studies or project planning.
• Support the implementation of new projects by providing insights on existing infrastructure conditions.
** Inspection and Testing*
* • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Test operational systems and emergency features to verify their functionality.
** Additional Duties*
* • Undertake other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work after hours when required.
** Safety*
* • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety audits and help develop safety protocols for civil maintenance tasks.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Participate actively in safety audits and provide input for safety protocol development related to civil maintenance tasks.
** Maximo*
* • Utilize and manage Maximo for tracking maintenance activities, inspections, and asset management.
** ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

* Qualifications:
*
* • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Arabic is essential; good proficiency in English (speaking and reading) is a plus.
• Good eyesight and normal color vision.
• Ability to write simple technical reports.
• Willingness to work across various locations on Line 3 stations and depots.
** Knowledge:*
* • General technical knowledge relevant to civil maintenance.
• Familiarity with maintenance processes and methods.
• Optional:
Knowledge of railway systems.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems…
