Responsibilities:
Have the ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the required menuKnife skills : techniques to hold knifes safely, secure work surface, handle cutting board, cut fastPerform food preparation processes: marinating, seasoning, chopping, dicing, cutting, slicing vegetablesMaintaining appropriate portion control and consistently monitoring food levels on the lineConsistently following the proper recipes and proceduresPreparing food throughout the day as indicated in the booklets guidelinesConsistently and accurately using prep sheets, road maps, cleanliness list, and station checklistsAdhering to high standards regarding food preparation, cleaning and sanitationRequires to be on their feet working while clocked in, unless on breakCompleting cold food preparation assignment accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashionAnticipating and reacting to other departments’ requestsHave the ability to develop positive working relationships with other unit employeesWork as part of a team by helping others as needed or requestedBe able to adapt to changing priorities with a sense of urgencyBe able to follow instructions for recipesPerform other duties as assignedPerfil
We Are Looking For:
Mandatory prior experience in a similar position IN A RESTAURANT or IN A CATERING BUSINESSExperience with Halal, Middle Eastern, Indian Cuisine is a strong assetAbility to stand for long periodsAbility to read in English, write in English, speak in EnglishGood knowledge of HACCP is an asset (training will be provided otherwise)Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work on weekendsAttendance, diligence, punctuality, reliabilityCompetencias
