Job SummarySerenity Estates of Lena is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. ResponsibilitiesClean, sanitize, and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, activity spaces, offices, and other common areas.
Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum surfaces according to established cleaning schedules.
Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors, handrails, and high-touch surfaces.
Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing resident laundry, linens, towels, and bedding.
Monitor housekeeping and laundry supply levels and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, laundry rooms, storage rooms, and supply areas.
Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures to promote a healthy environment for residents and staff.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with room turnover and preparation for new residents as needed.
Support special cleaning projects, seasonal deep cleaning, and facility events.
Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and team members.
Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work 30 plus hours a week including every other weekend.
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
