Education & Experience:
- High School diplomaor equivalent preferred
- Previouscustomerservice&hotel experience preferred
- At least3years of progressive experience in a related field
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- At least3yearspractical experience in one or more of the technical trades (HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)
- Previous experience with budgetinghelpful
- Any license the property may require
- Computer, projector,copier,fax machine,scanner, other office equipment,telephone
- Hand and power tools, electrical test equipment, refrigeration equipment, plumbing equipment, welding equipment, audio-visual equipment, pipe cutting equipment, telephone, office equipment, computer/computerized monitoring systems
- Under variable temperature conditions
- Around chemicals, fumes and or odor hazards
- Around dust and or mite hazards
- Long hours sometimesrequired
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods of time as the property is patrolled and guarded.
- Must be able to climb stairs, descend stairs
- Must be able to move quickly and agilely if a situation requiring quickassistancearises

- Refrigeration, electrical and plumbing skills, boiler operation and maintenance skills, watertreatmentand chiller operation knowledge
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of all legal issues in compliance with CFC/EPA/ADA/IAQ/OSHA
- Knowledge of energy management an asset
- Approach allencounterswith guests and employees in a friendly,service oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming,as defined in the hotel handbook, when working
- Comply at all timeswith New Castle standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Supervise and train all Engineering staff
- Oversee all projects
- Coordinate all Engineering staff scheduling
- Assistin creating and adhering to annual budget for the department
- Assistin developing and implementingplans to keep property, equipment, and grounds in an acceptable state of repair
- Assistin creating and implementingpreventive maintenance program for all hotel equipment
- Executeperiodic inspection of all safety systems
- Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner
- Follow up on all alarmsimmediatelytodeterminethe exact location and cause.
Determineemergencystatus and report findings to Guest Services.
Take immediate action as necessary - Design construction and repair projects
- Check appearance of all department employees to ensure compliance with NCHR Standards of Appearance, council when necessary
- Assistin training of all positions within department
- Keep immediate supervisors fully informed of all challenges or matters requiring his/her attention
- Must be able to perform all department duties
- Ensure engineering staff adheres to Loss Prevention guidelines
- Assistas Property Security as requested
- Maintain pool and spa – clean, vacuum, adjust chemical levels, change valves, and replace filters.
Maintain records of chemical balances
- Other duties as required
- Participate in staff and other meetings
