The Power and Control Technician Summer Student will learn and assist in the operation and maintenance of the electrical systems in the cement plant.

• You will be assisting the Power and Control Technitions with the following:
• Schematic reading & instrumentation calibration
• Troubleshooting and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (Example:
  Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers)
• Digital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshooting
• Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing and terminating
• Basic mechanical activities (For example: Non-critical welding, laser alignment)
• Perform walk-by inspections & diagnostic checks
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
• Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED

Enrollment in a 2 year electrical related program
