Position Overview

Under the direct report of a Service Manager/File Supervisor, Technicians provide pest control services, requiring state licensing.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, legally able to work in the U.S., have a clean DMV report, and pass a physical and drug screening, along with a background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service Technicians provide the vital link between our company and our clients through exceptional customer service.
  • They spend their day traveling to appointments and meeting with customers to assess pest problems and execute specialized treatment plans in and around their homes and places of business.
  • Technicians recommend corrective actions to prevent future pest problems.
  • They help the community by solving their pest challenges, building long‑term relationships with customers on their route, while protecting their homes and businesses.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Industry Licensing
  • Availability to work at least 40 hours per week, including some weekends
  • High school degree or equivalent
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service
  • Respond to customer’s needs in a professional and timely manner
  • Physically administer and monitor various pest control measures, indoors and outdoors in potentially hot or cold working environments
  • Perform physical labor and use a variety of tools/equipment
  • Establish effective working relationships with customers and co‑workers
  • Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers in the office, verbally and in writing, as needed
  • Read, understand, and follow labels and SDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during service
  • Work independently and maintain your route
  • Drive a company vehicle safely to customers’ homes and businesses
  • Use a handheld device to manage services and document structural, sanitation, and pest issues
  • Follow all proper safety guidelines
  • Inspect, maintain, and utilize PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Maintain working order and cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
  • Remain up to date on the company’s product and service offerings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills
  • Technical proficiency with computers, smartphones, etc.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Solid attention to detail
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely move around customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, and navigate close quarters
  • Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Development Opportunities

Pay Rate

DOE $17.00 to $23.00 per hour. Trainees start at $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, with potential for raises as they obtain licenses. Applicators start at $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. Branch2 Field Representatives start at $22.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Schedule

40‑hour work week, Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 5PM, with optional Saturday work.
