Job Summary

Maintenance Aide (Seasonal) – Diablo Range District / Altamont Sector, located at Carnegie State Vehicle Recreation Area, 18600 Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, CA 95376.

$17.43 - $21.18 per hour. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary or the alternate range as applicable.

Seasonal, 189 days per 12‑month period or up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. Work hours 07:00 – 17:30, four consecutive days per week. Not telework eligible.

• Perform housekeeping activities and garbage/trash collection.
• Remove litter, assist with equipment maintenance, and conduct grounds maintenance.
• Support permanent staff with maintenance of facilities, roads and grounds at Carnegie SVRA, Bethany Reservoir SRA, and other parks as assigned.

Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, loud noises, inclement weather, and hazardous conditions. Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing or pulling heavy equipment on uneven terrain.

• Valid California Drivers License (Class
  3). Provide license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions.
• Background investigation clearance prior to hiring.
• Background check via Live Scan fingerprinting.
• Safe driving record within 60 days of appointment.
