Essential Duties
Under the general supervision of the Repair & Maintenance Supervisor, the Repair & Maintenance Technician is responsible for cleaning and repairing all available inventory based on company policy using the proper cleaning supplies and procedures. The Repair & Maintenance Technician is responsible for logging and documenting all cleaned or repaired inventory for proper record keeping.
Responsibilities- Reports to work daily and is ready to work at the scheduled start time.
- Must wear all safety equipment (e.g., back support and steel-toed shoes).
- Assesses “dirty area” and prioritises cleansing or repairing of workload for the day.
- Ensures all team members and self are following proper cleaning procedures.
- Uses appropriate germicidal disinfectant cleaner (cleaning supply should be sprayed and left on equipment for 10 minutes prior to cleaning).
- Ensures Super Care infection control cleaning procedure is substantially followed for all contaminated labeled equipment.
- Un-bags equipment.
- Sprays germicidal disinfectant cleaner and leaves it to sit for 10 minutes.
- Follows standard cleaning procedure for equipment.
- Disposes of rags or towels used to clean contaminated labeled equipment.
- Allows equipment or devices to run for 15–20 minutes for proper testing.
- If any equipment does not successfully pass testing procedures, the RM Technician communicates to the Supervisor for further instructions.
- Inspects or evaluates all equipment for possible repairs, either in-house or sent to the manufacturer if extensive repair is needed.
- Logs and documents all equipment or devices tested by the RM Tech in the Google Drive file “Cleaning Log” by the end of the week (Friday) for statistical tracking and productivity purposes.
- Wipes down all surfaces in the RM Department with disinfectant spray at the end of the day in preparation for the next business day.
- Performs any other duties that may be requested by the Supervisor or Management.
- Understands and adheres to all of Super Care Health company policies.
- Remains up-to-date on all products.
- Maintains a professional, safe, and clean work environment.
- Graduate from an accredited high school.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and miscellaneous items up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
- Team player – ability.
- Reliable and responsible.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Computer savvy.
