Job SummaryHoly Infant Catholic School is seeking a dependable and service‑oriented Part‑Time Custodial/Maintenance Assistant. This position is responsible for routine custodial and maintenance duties for the parish and school buildings and grounds, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the mission of Catholic education.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine janitorial and custodial maintenance throughout parish and school facilities
- Clean classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, restroom facilities, gymnasium/cafeteria, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities
- Assist with general building upkeep and minor maintenance tasks as assigned
- Help maintain safe and orderly grounds, including snow shoveling and ice removal when needed
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings or events as required
- Maintain custodial equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner
- Communicate professionally with parish staff, school staff, vendors, and visitors
- Follow all diocesan, parish, school, health, and safety policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior custodial or building maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to be reached by phone as needed
