Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Maintenance Manager, Industrial Maintenance
Summary
This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination including leading and directing maintenance technicians, fostering a well‑trained and motivated staff, and assisting the Maintenance Manager to coordinate maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment. The role manages and oversees preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment, and quickly assesses problems to minimize downtime of production.
Responsibilities- Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a staff of 15 maintenance technicians.
- Measure, monitor, and reduce machine downtime.
- Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct or assist with repairs.
- Promote a Safety First culture among staff.
- Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant.
Must possess knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures along with GMP practices to ensure maintenance employees understand and follow company policies.
Education & Experience- Associate’s degree or college program certificate; or 5+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination in a food manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of experience in maintenance with a lead or supervisor role with direct reports preferred.
- Basic PLC experience and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with SAP is a plus.

Some weekend work required.
