Job Summary Holy Infant Catholic School is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Assistant. This position is responsible for routine custodial and maintenance duties for the parish and school buildings and grounds, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the mission of Catholic education.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine janitorial and custodial maintenance throughout parish and school facilities
- Clean classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, restroom facilities, gymnasium/cafeteria, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities
- Assist with general building upkeep and minor maintenance tasks as assigned
- Help maintain safe and orderly grounds, including snow shoveling and ice removal when needed
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings or events as required
- Maintain custodial equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner
- Communicate professionally with parish staff, school staff, vendors, and visitors
- Follow all diocesan, parish, school, health, and safety policies and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior custodial or building maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Valid driver's license required
Ability to be reached by phone as needed
