Summary
:
Keeps premises of commercial, retail, airports, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers/arenas or other institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

• Assist Facility Manager with scheduling and administrative duties.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Lifting chairs (20-25 lbs) and placing them over tables.
• Move chemicals (5 gal buckets, approx 40+ lbs) and tables (approx 40+ lbs).
• Operate different types of equipment (burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washer).
• Use Man Lift or Scissor Lift Machine.
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• Supervision of shift responsibility, handling employee issues.
• Work in high, precarious places with fumes or airborne particles; noise level usually loud.
• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/sense, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear; climb or balance; lift up to 50 lbs; vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus.

• Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
• Math: add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide with 10's and 100's; perform operations with U.S. money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Reasoning: apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions; handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Basic computer skills desired but not required.
• No certifications needed.
