Location: Whiteman Air Force Base
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to exercise technical and administrative supervision of workers directly or through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing aircraft survival/flight equipment and fabric work as well as to train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein. DUTIES:
* Plans on a weekly or monthly basis the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials in an organizational segment or group.
* Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes.
* Performs administration responsibilities. Participates with employees in the development of performance plans. Advises employees in advance of performance expectations and explains new work techniques, as required.

* AFSC: 1P0X1 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG 4800 - General Equipment Maintenance Family.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG 4800 - General Equipment Maintenance Family.. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is ability to supervise as an Aircraft Survival and Flight Equipment Repairer Supervisor. JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of supervision and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.
2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
5. Knowledge of aircrew flight equipment and chemical/biological defense equipment inspections and maintenance procedures using, fitting, and caring for aircrew flight equipment and chemical/biological defense equipment; and related supply procedures; and aircrew flight equipment continuation and chemical/biological defense training classes.
