Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as a Housekeeper 1 is vital to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This full-time position involves performing daily cleaning duties with attention to detail and adherence to established standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily, following specific procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated office spaces according to policy.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for assigned tasks.
  • Ensure housekeeping carts are locked and stored properly, keeping janitor closets neat and organized.
  • Complete daily cleaning logs accurately and submit them to supervisors.
  • Report any issues related to cleaning, maintenance, equipment, safety, or facility repairs promptly to the appropriate department.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Willingness to learn additional tasks and responsibilities is important.

Experience

Entry-level candidates with 0-3 months of housekeeping or floor care experience are welcome. On-the-job training is provided to support your success.

Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Physical capability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfort with standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate housekeeping equipment.
Working Conditions

Work may involve exposure to unpleasant odors, body fluids, infectious diseases, and cleaning chemicals. Floors may be wet or slippery e areas may contain medications requiring careful attention.
