Scope:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and supporting a team of maintenance technicians with skill levels ranging from entry-level to highly experienced. This role ensures all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies and operational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians to develop technical skills and improve overall team performance.

Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure maintenance objectives are met.

Preventative Maintenance Ensure all preventative maintenance (PM) activities are completed thoroughly, accurately, and on schedule.

Review PM records and adjust schedules or procedures as needed to improve equipment reliability.

Safety & Compliance The manager will be exposed to chemicals and hazardous materials and will participate in chemical handling training and continued safety trainings.

Enforce all company, departmental, and site policies—especially those related to safety.

Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safety-first culture in all maintenance operations.

Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.

Troubleshooting & Repairs Diagnose and repair down, malfunctioning, or underperforming equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Support technicians in resolving complex mechanical, electrical, or operational issues.

Equipment Upgrades & Projects Design, plan, and implement equipment upgrades in coordination with Facilities, the Maintenance Manager, and/or Engineering.

Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing processes.

Inventory & Procurement Order, track, and maintain parts and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.

Manage inventory levels to support efficient repair and preventative maintenance operations.

General Expectations Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment updates.

Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, reliability, and safety.
