Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Commercial Cleaning

We're hiring a full-time Janitor to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the West Fraser Joyce facilities, buildings, and grounds. This position works a Monday-Friday schedule and plays an important role in keeping our site safe, clean, and welcoming.

What You Will Do:

• Clean offices, hallways, bathrooms, break areas, common use areas of the facility i.e., parking lot walkways, doorways, floors, cabinets, light fixtures, tables, etc.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Maintain janitor closets and equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Work in safe manner in accordance with OSHA & company safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Excellent safety record.
• Follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program.
• Ability to operate equipment safely while maintaining production and quality standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good safety, attendance, and performance record.
• Able to identify issues and take action to resolve them.
• Physically capable of performing job duties – standing, walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, etc.
• Knowledge of MSDS, safe work practices, and emergency response.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
