School Custodian

Custodian/Day Porter

The custodian/day porter will perform various custodial tasks and work closely with the custodial supervisor to keep buildings operating optimally and ensure a physical environment conducive to learning.

This position reports to the Building Principal and Custodial MT Supervisor, with the oversight of the Director of Facilities and Maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must have a cleared background check.
• Must have a cleared drug screen.
• Prior experience in custodial services preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide custodial services as outlined, including but not limited to:

• Sweep, dust, vacuum, scrub, and/or mop floors
• Clean restrooms and conduct mid-day checks with touch-ups as needed
• Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, outdoor walkways and other areas
• Empty trash receptacles
• Stock restrooms with paper products
• Operate equipment including, but not limited to, vacuum, scrubbers, blowers, carpet cleaner
• Assisting with the preparation and setting up of events
• Understanding the physical demands of duties
• Any other duties assigned by superintendent and/or designee

Salary will fall under 240 Day MT Salary Schedule
