- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of maintenance professionals.
- Build a culture focused on accountability, safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate team capabilities, identify skill gaps, and implement training and cross-training initiatives.
- Ensure disciplined use of the CMMS for all maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation.
- Transform the maintenance organization from reactive repairs to proactive reliability.
- Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical plant equipment.
- Improve spare parts management through inventory optimization and critical spare strategies.
- Reduce downtime while improving equipment reliability and plant availability.
- Implement and sustain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) for equipment failures.
- Establish and maintain 5S standards throughout the maintenance shop.
- Partner with production to develop autonomous maintenance practices.
- Increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Manage maintenance budgets, contractor services, and capital improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company standards.
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies that support operational growth and profitability.
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
- Experience managing maintenance teams in industries such as:
- Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance
- Experience with CMMS platforms (SAP, Maximo, eMaint, Fiix, etc.)
- Heavy rotating equipment
- PLCs
- Electrical distribution systems
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing maintenance technicians
